Insurance is more than selling policies. The sector employs people across sales, relationship management, customer service, underwriting, claims, operations and quality, so there are entry points for many different backgrounds and strengths.
Sales and relationship roles, often titled sales executive, relationship manager or business development manager, focus on understanding client needs and explaining products clearly. Underwriting roles assess applications and risk. Claims roles verify and settle claims in line with regulations and policy terms.
Whichever route you choose, the common threads are clear communication, good product knowledge and a willingness to keep learning as products, rules and technology change.
